The Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival is on Sunday, September 11, 2016.

Almaden Art & Wine Festival

This 40th Annual event takes place inside Almaden Lake Park which is located at the corner of Coleman Avenue and Almaden Expressway in San Jose.

Young, old or anywhere in-between this festival is sure to be enjoyed by everyone who attends.  Please leave your pets at home as they are not allowed at the festival.

Festival Hours 10:00 am. to 6:00 pm.

Beer and Wine

What’s an Art & Wine Festival without beer and wine?  Maybe just an Art Festival?  You will enjoy premium beers and wines from local wineries all served in a commemorative glass which are purchased at the festival.

Food

Wear you loose or stretchy pants or prepare to bust a button or a seam.  The variety of food at the festival is off the charts. Each year seems to always bring something new and exciting. Expect food from Gourmet Food Trucks.

Entertainment

Of course there will be entertainment and live bands rockin’ the lake.

Arts & Crafts

Dare I mention that holidays are quickly approaching. For those who celebrate Christmas, this is a perfect place to get a jump start on purchasing gifts. I always find unique one-of-a-kind gifts and that so fitting gift for that hard to buy for person in our life.

Almaden Lake Park

Fun for Kids Too!

The Festival is a family-friendly event with lots of family-friendly entertainment and activities such as carnival games, a rock climbing wall, face painting, crafts, and jump houses.  The Kid’s Fun Zone is located at the North end of the park.

Silent Auction

The festival is promising this year’s silent auction “will be unlike any other auction you’ve ever experienced.”  Among the items being auctioned are designer jewelry, limited edition artwork, signed sports collectibles, home decor items, dinners at local restaurants, and more!

Parking

Parking is Free. Courtesy shuttles are available at the Almaden Light Rail Station on Winfield Blvd. and at the Santa Clara Valley Water District on Almaden Expressway.

Attendees are encouraged to ride bikes or use public transit.

For A Good Cause!

Proceeds from this event are donated to schools in the community and non-profit organizations.

What a great way to end the summer. The weather on Sunday is expected to be in the low 80’s, which is perfect temperature to enjoy great outdoors fun at Almaden Lake Park. Don’t forget your hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.

Hats off to the Almaden Valley Women’s Club for presenting the community with the Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival … which is celebrating its 40th year!
