Are you looking for something fun to do the weekend of May 21st and 22nd?
There is almost always something to do in the City of Campbell. This weekend Boogie on the Avenue is what’s happening. This annual event is held the third weekend in May and takes place, like most scheduled events in Campbell, rain or shine.
Speaking of weather, it looks like the event will be blessed with cooler temps. According to the weather channel temperature in Campbell 95008 this weekend is expected to be 68 degrees on Saturday with a very slight chance of some rain and 71 degrees on Sunday. We all know the weather is always subject to change.
Some of us know the festival as Boogie on the Bayou however the festival is now Boogie on the Avenue. This festival attracts 50,000 – 60,000 people who enjoy the entertainment, food, shopping, arts, crafts, and community.
Expect some international cuisine as well as wine, beer and soda.
Bring the kids along too and let them enjoy some fun at the Kiddie Korner. Sorry no pets allowed at the festival. Service animals are welcomed.
Many of the stores are hosting events and offer “special deals” throughout the Boogie weekend.
Saturday: 10:00 am – 6:00pm
Sunday: 10:00 am – 5:00pm
The Main Stage is by the Light Rail tracks at Campbell Avenue and Railway Avenue.
The West Stage is near the Campbell Brewing Company at Campbell Avenue and Third Street.
A variety of bands will be playing on both stages throughout the day on Saturday from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm and from 10:30 am – 3:00 pm on Sunday.
Admission is Free
There are two public parking garages Downtown Campbell as well as several public parking lots.
VTA public transportation via Bus or Light Rail may be a good option for those who prefer not to drive and deal with parking.
Boogie on the Avenue is sponsored by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce.

Will there still be Cajun food? I have gone to the Boogie on the Bayou every year and enjoyed the Cajun (Louisiana-American) cuisine. What happened??? I heard a nasty rumor that all Cajun food has been eliminated this year. If this is true, someone needs his/her head examined. Please reply–my plans depend on the answer.

Charli, I know there will be International food. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the menu of the full variety of foods available at the festival. I’m unable to verify if the rumor you heard regarding Cajun food is true. Thank you for your comment. Enjoy your day doing whatever you decide to do.
