This location is convenient to shopping, dining and freeway access. Westfield Mall is just minutes away. Across Blossom Hill Road is an OutBack Steak House, Marie Callender’s, Juicy Burger, City Espresso, several fast food establishments and retail shops. The Cahalan Post Office is a block away. It’s also close to Highway 85. The farthermost end of this development at Chesbro abuts Highway 85.
An important tip for San Jose home buyers looking to purchase new construction. Know that the sales person works for the builder/developer. This means that you definitely want to hire an experienced San Jose Real Estate Agent to represent YOU. Make sure you have your San Jose real estate agent with you when you first visit and register at the sales office. If your agent is not with you when you first register then your agent will not be able to represent you.
Second important tip: Get a property inspection. Just because it is new construction does not mean there are no construction defects. This allows your agent to negotiate the repairs before escrow closes. You would be surprised what home inspectors find with newly constructed homes.

I’m from Texas and I don’t think Realtors are as smart there. Oh heck, I’m just going to say it: I don’t think people from Texas are all that bright anyway. But I really like your website.

Home buyers in San Jose need to know that the people working in the sales office work for the builder. Buyers need to have their own representation.

Debbie says
I had a home inspection done on a new construction home and many defects were found. People think because it is “new” that there are no defects. Not true and yet another reason to have our own agent represent us.
Casandra says
We bought a new home in Dallas years ago. We did use our own agent to represent us. It is a good thing we did because she helped us “fight” with the builder to fix many defects we discovered after we moved in.
Lucas says
Some people like the idea of a “new” home versus a resale home. The perception that a new home may not have defects is a false one. It is important to get a new home inspected by a licensed and qualified inspector.

I was a new home construction worker for over 10 years. I could write a book on the dirty ins and outs of all the short cuts builders take and how City inspections are “bought off.” You are wise to recommend buyers get inspections as well as hire an agent to represent them.
