United States Congress designated September 11th of each year as Patriot Day in remembrance of more than 3,000 innocent people who lost their lives in a series of senseless and vicious terrorist attacks.

On September 10, 2004, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger proclaimed Saturday, September 11, 2004 as "Patriot Day."

Patriot Day is in honor of those whose acts of great heroism and bravery continue to inspire Californians and our Nation.
